Since we all seem to be silver members for now, this little tidbit may come in handy. When looking at some of the Groups I was in, I noticed I was the only one sticking pictures of my characters into the profiles. So I thought i'd give a quick tutorial.

Now then, to stick an image into a post, you need an image tag. An image tag starts with a < and then the word "img" in it. you close the image tag with a >

That tells the site you're going to put an image in.

So far your tag should look like *<* img *>* (without the stars)

Next, we're going to tell the site what image you want to use. For that, we want to stick in the source of your image. so withing the brackets, after img you're going to type in:

src="whatever the link to your image is"

Make sure you have those quotation marks there or the site won't realise that's a link.

And, to the very basic degree, that's all there is to it. In order to get:

    I typed (without the stars) *<*img src="http://www.darthsanddroids.net/logo.png"*>*

(yes, i know, totally random image )

Lesson 2 will talk about how to have an explanantion of your picture for when it doesn't show up properly and how to resize your picture within the image tag.

    Cheers!!
