A poem by yours truely

The sky is bleeding again...

Tears of hush and violent lilac,
Clouds grieve in shades of skin and flesh...
...a pearly pink and scarlet lament.

That sun withers away behind distant knolls,
Leaking the contents
of its omnipresent bursting heart into the atmosphere.
Drip dry, my pretty...
A bloodied carcass dividing earth from the stars.
But all we see is a sky glaring down
Red as wine and tainted;
an infection of the heavens as our sun and light flee.
A burgundy disease that spreads like cancerous fire,
The sky ablaze and seething...
Ablaze and seething.

Sunset...
like the fall of a phoenix into ashes.
Plumes of golden tendrils and feathers
Alight...
wilting to smoulder and dust;
then powder blackness is carried away into the infinite abyss...
this navy and speckled miasma of night and nothingness.
And the voiceless gods wallowing in space,
sliced a moon into silent smiles,
and sang their muted and
sadistic laughter through this hollow void of night.
This cosmic chasm, unfathomable and dead.
Dead.

Humans branded this time of sinister foreboding as 'night'.
With bated breath we wait and wonder,
Wait in wonder...
Whilst only a select few are fortunate enough
to be blessed by her
silken, silver serenade
of slumber...

While she sings, high in the sky,
Bequeathed with the name of Lady Lunar.
Cherub cheeks and velvet lips...
With serrated eyes that gleam like naked teeth,
Hair that simmers silver
As it drinks the solar shine from afar.
Her fists scrunch like dead spiders,
Needle nails bite into her chalk palms
And with bone white blood,
She sashays upon the night canopy
And smatters the lacy black canvas of sky
With her metallic snow blood,
Becoming the stars that sparkle
so innocently, so innocently...

She cradles the children of the earth,
In her frosty and grave embrace
as she sashays her mouth over their pulse-pulsing necks,
along their collarbones...
Her moist breath,
The froth and mist that swirls each night.
She croons words of solace that dance
And linger about their soft earlobes,
They slowly lose themselves as they disintegrate
Within her sick lullaby...
Only to awaken when the moon fades out with her stars.

Yet til then, we wait -
Wait so weakly, so meekly.
And in such silence
We cannot breathe,
Cannot live,
Cannot exist,
Without our sun.
Without the light
That feeds our minds
And blood
And eyes
With a purity
So refined.

The darkness is sober now,
from his hangover of sunshine.
The darkness, it tells us:
When the world is singing, be silent.
When the world is silent,
Sing.

Half dead are we, ill from waiting.
What poor humans we must be.
But dawn is in labour, on her way...
And the rebirth...
The lone rising star from those phoenix ashes,
and the sun is born unto the ancient sky once more.
The residue of darkness still scrapes and clings
so majestically grand at the horizon
like antique relics that obscure the distance in shadow...
But this almighty newborn child of light
upon his throne of royal blue and cotton vapour;
banishes this ethereal dusk
with a flourish and flounce of his phoenix feathers....
wings that outstretch the multifarious fabric of time,
Radiant branches extending upright from his shoulder blades
Bent-elbowed and backbone-bent wings...
red-licked and raw-boned blue
those delicate wineglass wings twisted with gold
and entwined with the inferno of sallow and silver,
inlaid with the hieroglyphics
that spell out the timeless and untold
secrets of existence...
O, Clandestine of truth.

He proclaims the oncoming of light
with those ice wild eyes and angular features,
Bloodshot lips and prickle fingertips...
Our precious child of warm skies.
No longer are we weak.
With that smile of honey trees and thawed butter,
He watches us watch Him, he watches us linger,
and wait, until finally...

This raw firestorm tempest of light hails down
Upon our tiny mouths.
With limp lips peeled over gums,
all tiny tongues and petite teeth
we are.
We are.
Delight Eyes like frenzied snow globes.

We are all contortionists,
the way our faces deform
in a radiance of youth, smiles.
Glee and blissful unknowing,
We continue
awaiting and waiting...
This waiting.

And thus,
the origin of dawn instigates once more...
The meniscus that divides sound from the stillness
shatters to slivers of air
That flake in the embrace of gravity.
Watery splinters that glitter and glisten in the sunglow
as the cogs of time and era churn and fluster,
we are still weak, so weak...
as we spiral and spiral upwards to the surface...
Take our first thirst-heavy gulp of pure life...

And spiral and spiral onwards
unto the musical light - to immortality
...Of dazed day.

My friend wrote this, it's called "Circle"

"Hey guys." I said, "I forgot something in the the classroom, catch ya later?" Little did they know it was a little peice of paper with somebodies name and a heart around it.

"Sure Casey," they all said, "see ya!" They walked away and I hurried back to Mr. Lemekki's classroom, I skidded to a stop and walked in only to see Nik--the boy in my heart--standing there reading my paper smirking.

I blushed bright scarlet and walked...

The MOST Famous of ALL Cassi Quotes---

Just remember -- if the world didn't suck, we would all fall off!

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Support bacteria. They're the only culture most people have.

I get how rock can beat scissors, and I understand how scissors can beat paper...But there is NO way paper can beat rock. Is paper supposed to wrap itself around rock leaving it immobile? If so, why can't paper do this is scissor...
